Rounding Whole Numbers Remember the 4 steps Underline the digit in the place to be rounded. STEP 2: Look at the digit to the right of the underlined digit STEP 3: If the digit is five or above… give it a shove (add 1 to the underlined digit) STEP 4: Replace all digits after the underlined digit with zeros
