LRA is Killing our own people, our own brothers, mothers, children, youth and elders in WES, South Sudan. How can anyone see LRA elements hiding in this thick bush?

Account of Recent Attacks Since 2009 – 2010 A man from Kasha village attacked By LRA during the Wednesday June 30, 2010, 23 miles, east of Yambio Areas affected by LRA attacks in the Tambura County alone include: Nabaria, Zangia, Wauro, Mupoi Payam, Source Yubu,and Akpa. Recently the LRA appeared in Mabenge, which is the last Village of Tambura County to the border with Central Africa Republic. In Nagero County, Namitina is one of the most affected areas How many more is necessary to require a serious action? Accounts of affected areas are increasing with each new attack.

Horrified habitants are evacuating their homes and villages, farms are being abandoned Recent reports show that people are leaving their homes because of fear of attacks on their villages! Because of LRA activities in Bangasu payam there is no body living in Nyaka and Ukuo Bomas all has fled to Kasia and now fled again to Rimenze and other are going to Yambio town seeking safety. Children and women are living under trees with no food to feed the children or themselves. (Report by M. Phillip) In Tambura alone, the SRRC Relief Coordinator Mr. Albert Dabira reported that there are 1038 internal displaced persons (IDPs) registered so far in the County and many more are coming into the outskirt of the town daily seeking humanitarian assistance. (Jul 2, 2010 report on Sudan Tribune) Farmers are abandoning their farms, because of isolated deaths and slaughters in the farms, Hunger will soon be striking WES. All recent reports show that people are starving and becoming dependent on food aids. WES has never been in need of food aids because we have fertile lands. But how can we farm when we are insecure?

These are innocent victims who will have to live their whole lives with the trauma effects of these mutilations against their human rights! How long can they and others wait more for help? Recent May attacks in the boarder with Congo

What did he do to deserve this?

Who in South Sudan, in the remote villages of WES can get access to medical help for such mutilation?

Our social institutions are being targeted, a chief has been murdered Reports by Western Equatoria (WES) officials and the Youth speak again of a tragedy to the Zande Social Institutions via the murder of the chief of Bamani which lies in Ibba County. Chief Gordon Jalal Ngirimo of Bamani boma in Nabanga Payam was murdered by the LRA in his house at 2:00 am on 19th January The terrorists also killed a woman and abducted two children before they fled to the forest with loot. Much more is happening! Abductions, rapes, lootings, kids are being turned into child soldiers, and continuous attacks on travelers! They wait to make sure that the car is completely charred (UNOPS Report Jul 29, 2010)
