We have been taught to Love: God, Christ, Church Even our enemies Understand that HATRED is sin: Gal. 5:20 = work of the flesh Rom. 1:30 = unrighteous hate

There is a place for Hate in our life “I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.” Ps.139:22 We must hate in order to Love ! Rev.2:6,15 - hated deeds of Nicolaitans Hate Defined: To detest - a very strong dislike To love less

We Must Hate The Devil

Who is The Devil ?  Satan - Mt. 4:10  Serpent - Rev. 20:2  Roaring lion, adversary - 1 Pet. 5:8  Prince of bottomless pit - Rev. 9:11  Prince of this world - John 12:31  Prince of Darkness - Eph. 6:12  Dragon - Rev. 12:9

What is The Work of The Devil ?  To destroy man - 1 Pet. 5:8  Our enemy  Seeks the ruin of man Promises the Best Gives the Worst

Therefore We Must Hate The Devil Despise - strong dislike, detest If we love God then we Must hate the Devil !

We Must Hate Sin

Sin “...sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4 Departure from God’s command Ps. 119:104 “I hate every false way.”

Why Hate Sin ? It is a murderer –Rom. 6:23 –Kill sin by hating it or it will kill you Because we Love God Hate sin but we love the Sinner

We Must Hate Mammon

What is Mammon ? Riches of this worldRiches of this world –Gold and Silver –Possessions –Material belongings Mammon was a common Chaldee word used in the East to express material riches. It is here personified as a kind of god of this world.

Why Hate Mammon ? 1.If we don’t then He becomes our god –Where is our treasure? –Matt. 6:21 –We cannot serve two god’s 2. It is useless to love Mammon –Can be stolen –Corruptible - Matt. 6:19-20 –Can’t take them with us - 1 Tim.6:6-8

6. But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 1 Tim. 6:6-8

Why Hate Mammon ? 3. Mammon makes life miserable ~ Lk.12:15 “beware of covetousness” ~ Luke 12: Rich man = fool ~ v. 21 “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

We Must Hate Family

Hate Family HateHate = “love less” “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:26 We must love God - Matt. 22:37

We must HATE in order to LOVE properly ! Hate as Christ hated -- a God-like hatred ! If you don’t hate them then we love them !
