Making Futures Happenwww.dcdt.org Data Collection An online survey was created using s were sent to various stakeholders including: –Current DCDT members –Members of various listserves including those that represent professionals and parents of students with disabilities (NSTTAC, NCSET, TATRA, etc.)

Completed submissions were organize according to domains: –Transition Planning –Student Involvement –Transition Assessment –Assistive Technology and UDL –Students from Specific Disability Groups –Family Involvement –Curriculum and Instruction –Interagency Collaboration
Making Futures Happenwww.dcdt.org Review process Initial review of the tips was completed by the researchers. –The primary purpose was to combine similar tips and eliminate incomplete submissions. – s were sent to about 20 people requesting additional information regarding their tip.
Making Futures Happenwww.dcdt.org Vetting Process –DCDT board members reviewed Tips based on areas of expertise. –The purpose was to make sure the Tips did not go against best practices. –Approved Tips were edited for grammar and clarity but a special effort was made to preserve the unique voice of each submission. –134 unique tips emerged after the review and vetting process.
