Mission Strengthen Georgia by providing Individuals and Families access to services that promote self-sufficiency, independence, and protect Georgia's vulnerable children and adults. Core Values Provide access to resources that offer support and empower Georgians and their families. Deliver services professionally and treat all clients with dignity and respect. Dementia in Georgia Alzheimer’s Disease = Is it the only type of dementia? No. Is it the most common type? Yes. (60-80% of dementia diagnoses)  2015 – 130,000 Georgians with Alzheimer’s Disease  2025 – 160,000 Georgians (45% increase since 2000) Georgia’s Dementia Equation Nearly ½ Billion Caregivers Million Hours of Assistance = Financial Stress and Declining Health
