Filters Regulators Lubricators

TERMINOLOGY F - R - L’s Prep Prep Unit’s Trio’s Trio’s Combo Unit’s Combo Unit’s What are they called ?????

Why is there a need ???? Compressed Air is moist & dirty Sense & safety dictate pre-set & lock Tools & equipment require lubrication

Why a Filter ??? Moisture - Water Vapor and Air Pollutants Dust and Air Pollutants Compressor Oil & Heat Compressor Oil & Heat Pipe Scale - Rust Pipe Scale - Rust To eliminate …..

FILTER Air In Air Out Louver Bowl Filter Element Sight Gauge Drain Cock Water & Impurities are separated from compressed air via a “” centrifugal action. Water & Impurities are separated from compressed air via a “swirling” centrifugal action.

Because Wrong Pressure …. Shortens Tool Life Reduces Performance Reduces Performance Wastes Air Wastes Air Costs Money Costs Money Why a Regulator ???

Regulator Air InAir Out Adjustable Locking Knob Main Spring Diaphragm Assembly Valve Assembly Valve Spring Hand adjustment permits a controlled flow of compressed air downstream.

Why a Lubricator ??? Sub-par Tool Performance Shortened Tool Life Costly Repairs/Replacement Because without it, you’d suffer …….

Lubricator By manipulation of the Adjusting Knob, a precise amount of tool lubricant is forced “downstream” to the pneumatic apparatus. CAUTION Use “Air Tool Lubricant” only !!! Use No Substitutes !!!

Filters, Regulators, and Lubricators are offered in “BASIC” sizes ……… i.e.:The unit may be offered in ¼” BASIC, or ½” Basic, etc. i.e.: The unit may be offered in ¼” BASIC, or ½” Basic, etc.

In F-R-L terminology the “basic” is an indicator that all of the internal piping in each unit is the equivalent of Schedule 40 pipe. The entry and exit ports of the units may vary, but the “internals” remain a constant to Schedule 40 pipe.

There is an easy-to-use “Air Flow Chart” for air, that can be found in the back of the Dixon DPL. If you’re still confused, our 800 number is at the bottom of every page in the catalog. We love to help you !!!!

They’re in the DPL WILKERSON NORGREN WATTS

Any Questions ???
