The Cherokee Indians lived in villages near rivers. They built their homes from river cane frames and then put clay on the sides and grass roofs.
The Chickasaw lived in the same type of houses. They also lived in small villages near rivers.
The type of Cherokee clothing they were breechcloths is a type of long rectangular peace tanned as deer skin, cloth, or animal fur.
The Chickasaw tribe wore the same type of clothing as the Cherokee. This picture shows their leggings. They made their clothing from deer skin.
The Chickasaw traded regularly with all of the other South East native Americans this is one of the materials they traded.
