What is the history of Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is a holiday that began with the Pilgrims: A group of people who sailed to the new world in a small ship called the Mayflower. Once they reached land, they built homes and established a small civilization, as well as made friends with Native American Indians that were occupying the land not far from them with the help of Sasquatch who knew Indian customs and helped the two societies become friends. The Indians shared their crops and other foods with the Pilgrims as well as taught them how to grow their own and to hunt. The day that they had a huge feast with so many different types of foods and gave thanks for the food as well as good fortune, today is called Thanksgiving day.

When Thanksgiving is celebrated on November 26 th every year.

Every year, on Thanksgiving day, families and friends get together and share a feast. The whole point of the holiday is to be with your loved ones and give thanks for everythng that you feel you should be grateful for. How do we celebrate?

Tradition It is traditional to have a turkey on Thanksgiving day. Almost every family buys a turkey and cooks it, maybe having sides or adding things such as stuffing or cranberry sauce.

What do you like the most about Thanksgiving? The part I like most about Thanksgiving is the part where we eat.
