 Safety: ◦ Some object or procedure to prevent injury or damage.  Danger: ◦ The possibility of suffering harm or injury  Combustible: ◦ Able to ignite or catch fire  Hazardous: ◦ Risky, dangerous  Extinguish: ◦ To put out a fire or light; quench

 Eyes  Face  Head/Hair  Ear Protection

 Body  Feet  Hands  Respirators

 Keep all shields and protective coverings in place when using machinery  Keep work areas free of all clutter and debris

Tool Storage Flammable Liquids

Danger! Machine Hazard/Working Distance Caution Safety Equipment/Areas, First Aid Kits Radioactivity Work Areas and Usable Machinery Traffic Pathways Background Color for Information

Store fuels in approved containers, preferably made of metal. Store fuels away from flammable containers such as wood and paper. Keep the shop environment well below combustion temperature. Use fires only in areas that is designated safe to do so.
