Verdi’s early life. Verdi was born on the 10 th October When he was still a child, Verdi's parents moved from Piacenza to Busseto. In Busseto, Verdi was given his first lessons in composition. By the age of 7 Verdi showed lots of talent. At the age of 15 Verdi had already started composing. At the age of 19 he tried to enter the conservatory but was not admitted! Verdi started to work for a shopkeeper.The shopkeeper started to get interested in his music and asked if he could give lessons to his daughter. Soon Giuseppe Verdi married the shopkeeper’s daughter (Margherita Barezzi).

He was the son of Carlo Giuseppe Verdi and Luigia Uttini.Verdi had a younger sister but she died in childhood. Verdi married Margherita Barezzi. They had two Children (Icilio Romano and Virginia Maria Luigia) but sadly they both died in infancy. Just after their children died Barrezzi died. Verdi was devastated by all the deaths. After all the deaths Verdi married Giuseppina Strepponi Verdi’s Family
