What are the characteristics of elephant? What about the lion? What about the tortoise? What’s the strongest animal? Can it run? What does a giraffe has got? a) big ears b) long nose c) long neck

Language Skills: Listen for specific information. Speak with fluency. Science : Children acquire the ability to category animals and birds.

By the end of the unit Ss will be able to: Learn new animal vocabulary. Practice questions about the characteristics of animals. Listen for specific information. Find words. Say the ( C ) = / K / sound. Learn can and can’t. Go through the song line by line.

Before the unit: I’ll prepare the teaching aids and the resources that are necessary for the unit. I’ll invite the teacher of science to give the pupils background about the characteristics of animals.invite I’ll make students gauge needs.students gauge needs I'll ask pupils to collect data about animals and birds. I’ll ask pupils to prepare a presentation for the unit.

During the unit: I’ll make warm-up and brain storm for the unit. I’ll divide the class to groups giving every group a task. I'll ask pupils to share their ideas with their friends. I'll present the new vocabulary giving some adjectives and opposites. I’ll show the students’ presentation to make a discussion.students’ presentation I’ll ask the main question Do you have a pet. And listen to the different answers asking pupils about the names of their animals they have. I’ll ask pupils to listen to the cassette then to read the lesson. I’ll make assessment to measure their understanding to the lesson.assessment I’ll go on talking about the characteristics of animals. I’ll ask pupils to write about animals’ abilities what they can and can’t do. I’ll ask the pupils to listen to the cassette to pronounce the( C ) = / K / sound. I’ll show pupil’s my presentation.my presentation Pupils will design a magazine contains the characteristics of animals and facts about it.

After the unit : I’ll discuss the pupils in every point in the unit to check up misunderstanding. I’ll make the final test. I’ll thank everyone contributed in this project. I'll give prizes and certificates for all pupils.

What’s its name? Now we will listen to the cassette and of you will read the lesson loudly What’s the characteristics of a giraffe? Yes, it has a long neck. What about the elephant? What can a lion do? What can a hippo do?

A teacher of Science gives a period about animal’s characteristics. Pupils will design a magazine contains the characteristics of animals and facts about it.

At the end of this unit pupils will be able to : Talk about animal’s ability which can run,jump, fly, swim …etc.and learn adjectives for physical characteristics which has got a long neck, long legs, light brown …etc. Use can and can't to express about their abilities. Learn some animals vocabulary and adjectives. Describe an object using has / have got. Use adjectives and opposites.
