Instruction In this activity, you are going to learn some tips on how to protect the environment, starting doing something helpful at your home. Remember, your effort can contribute to save the energy and clean the world.

Protect Our Environment Save Electricity Save Water Save Energy When You Shop Waste Disposal Recycle –Quiz on Recycling

Save Electricity 1-6 Saving electricity means protecting our environment. Turn off television, radio or stereos when you are not using them. That little standby light means that they’re still using power—turn it off, too.

Save Water 2-6 Don’t leave the water running when you are not using it. Collect the water which is used to wash vegetables to water your houseplants.

Save Energy 3-6 Car pools. ( 汽車共乘 ) Use rechargeable batteries. Send e-greetings cards instead of paper cards.

When You Shop 4-6 Take your own bags. Look for products that have less packaging. Don’t buy bottled water because transporting water from its source to the supermarket shelves is an expensive waste of energy.

Waste Disposal 5-6 Help reduce the world’s rubbish dumps—don’t use “throw-away” products like paper plates and napkins or plastic knives, forks, and cups. Find out if there is a disposal location for used car batteries and another hazardous ( 危險的 ) household wastes.
