Having a phone in your pocket can be a life-saver and can put you in touch instantly. Mobiles allow you to cheaply send and receive short text messages. Most standard mobiles have alarms, calculators and calendars and many new models have inbuilt cameras, allow you to access the internet and store music to listen to on the go.
