SHD Connectors PURPOSE: To introduce the SHD double row wire to board disconnectable crimp style connector series.

SHD Connectors PROBLEM: Many applications require a disconnectable wire-to-board connector that is sub- miniature in size and that offers engineers design flexibility. SCRIPT: The ultra-compact SHD series Wire to Board Crimp style Connectors are on a 1.0mm (.039”) pitch, with receptacles and headers molded in a 94V0 material. These low profile connectors are compact with a mounting height of only 6.3mm (.248”) for top entry and 5.5mm (.217”) for side entry type, and a width of 5.0mm (.197”) for top entry type and 5.1mm (.201”) for side entry type.

SHD Connectors SCRIPT: The SHD disconnectable wire-to-board crimp style connector series is available in 20, 30, 40 and 50 circuits and will accept a wire range of 32AWG to 28AWG. The SHD connectors are rated at 50 volts AC/DC and operate in a temperature range of -25 degrees centigrade to +85 degrees centigrade.

SHD Crimp style contact SCRIPT: The SHD contacts are designed to accommodate a 28AWG to 32 AWG wire, are selectively gold plated over a nickel-undercoated phosphor bronze copper alloy base material.

SHD Receptacle Housing SCRIPT: The SHD disconnectable crimp style receptacle housing has protrusions on both ends to assist an operator when disengaging the receptacle housing from the header without holding the wires.

SHD Headers SCRIPT: RoHs compliant (lead free) 94VO PBT surface mount headers are available in top (straight) entry, side (right angle) entry and top (straight) entry type with a boss to assist in positioning the header on the PCB. Headers are fully shrouded to provide header contact protection and to provide guidance for the mating connector. Solder tabs provide additional mechanical stability. Header contacts are gold plated over a nickel-undercoated phosphor bronze copper alloy base material. SMT headers are provided on embossed tape for automatic insertion equipment.

THE SHD SERIES IS ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING FRIENDLY SCRIPT: Applicators are available for semi-automatic and fully automatic termination equipment normally found in the manufacturing environment as well as standard hand tools. Standard reels for the SHD series (23,000 pieces) are also available in 1,000 piece mini reels for engineering, lab and pre-production requirements.
