Glogster

Glogster! Glogster is a free online poster- maker! Think of how you used to traditionally create posters…on poster board! Glogster lets you create an electronic version of that! Benefits: you can add not only pictures, but sound and video as well! Your Glog should represent your topic! The images, video, and sound you include should all support your thesis!

Login to the.edu domain using the nickname and password I will give you!

Get started by clicking Create New Glog!

This is your Magnet Toolbox! Everything you need to create your Glog is located here!

The first thing you want to do is change/customize your wall. Glog Wall will be in front, while Page Wall will be behind – see arrows above. Be sure to always click USE IT when you are ready to insert anything into your Glog!

Audio – Upload or Link to sound (songs, interviews) - Grab lets you record your own sound – need a mic! Player – add a creative and noticeable “play” button Add sound! Be sure to always click USE IT when you are ready to insert anything into your Glog!

Add video – upload or link to it Remember to always click USE IT when you want to insert anything into your Glog!

Give your picture a nice frame! Insert images – upload from a saved file (Link It does not seem to work?!) Don’t forget to click USE IT when you want to insert anything into your Glog!

Add Text – click on the design you want and then click USE IT!

To enter text or edit text box, highlight the shape/box and click on EDIT Bring to front Send to back clone Cancel changes Trash Can - delete entire shape/graphic

Change background color of text box Add link to text box Edit the text font or color Add effects – shadow, blur, etc.

Graphics – add a decoration that fits your topic/subject!

When you are done with your Glog you can Preview it. When done previewing make sure to click SAVE & PUBLISH! You will not be able to actually Publish your Glog until it’s finished!

1) Give your Glog a name! 2) Select a Category that best matches your Glog 3) Check Finished or Unfinished and the click SAVE!
