The objective are to increase the reservoir storage from 22 million cubic meter to 73.5 million cubic meter and the raw water supply capacity from 300 MLD to 1000 MLD for the consumption at Sg Dua water treatment plant with the construction of an intake tower, a diversion tunnel, a spillway and a road. The contract value is USD 200 million.

SanDisk Corp is putting up a RM1.2bil manufacturing plant in Penang, which is scheduled to start production in March 2015. SanDisk plans to spend the RM1.2bil in five years for its operations in Penang and recruit over 1,000 employees. SanDisk’s new manufacturing facility is undergoing construction on a 30-acre site in Batu Kawan, south Seberang Prai.
