RON STOCKE’s WaterColor Workshop October 12 th & 13 th 2013 During this two day watercolor workshop Ron will show students the importance of simplifying and combining shapes to unify your paintings. When to use grays to enhance colors and why painting details doesn’t help most paintings. Finally Ron will show you how to pull your painting together with values. We will try and paint on location one of the days (weather permitting). If you’re not used to painting on location, Ron will help you apply his technique to develop a successful painting. You will receive full instruction during this workshop while being encouraged to push yourself to the next level. Painting equipment and things you may need: A watercolor easel or portable board to paint on. Water container 2 full sheets of 140 lb cold press watercolor paper/ watercolor Arches, Sanders, Fabriano Brushes: Ron paints with rounds & flats. Bring any brushes you may have, larger the better. Specialty brushes: Dagger, rigger, scrubber (Connoisseur set) Watercolor palette. Misc: Paper towels, Optional: house hold sponge, spray bottle. 2B pencil Colors Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Cad Yellow Lt, Cerulean Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Diox Purple Specialty Colors: Lavender, Azo Orange, Cobalt Teal

Ron teaches comprehensive workshops in the United States, Canada and Italy and does demo/lectures on art materials and green studios.
