Onsets and Rimes BY MIRANDA DOUGLASS

Onsets and Rimes  Onsets and Rimes is a fancy term that basically means you can manipulate the first letter in a word and change the word by just changing the first letter. Not every letter you use will make a correct word, so you have to be careful!

The beginning letters in a word can change to make new words.  The word bake can make multiple other words when we change the beginning letter. For example.. B ake C ake W ake T ake M ake We can make all kinds of different words when we manipulate the beginning consonant.

Now it’s your turn!  Your word is wave. Choose the correct letter that makes a new word! B C M
