EU citizen's right of residence (1)  Register as citizens of Tartu within 3 months after your arrival. Required documents: o Your identity document o A tenancy contract Population Register Office in Tartu Küüni St 5 Opening hours: Mon 9-12, Tue 9-16 Wed-Fri 9-12, 14-16

EU citizen's right of residence (2)  After the registration (within one month), go to the Migration Bureau to apply for Estonian ID-card  Required documents: –application form –identity document –coloured photograph (you can take the photo free of charge in the Migration Office) –document certifying the payment of the state fee ( 24,28 EUR ) – d  For more information, see the brochure “ Getting Started”, pages 27-28

European health insurance card (2)  Substitute certificate of an EU health insurance card (form E128)  Always have the EHIC with you in case you need medical help in the EU!

European health insurance card (3) Ensures medical care on similar conditions as for Estonian citizens:  Planned treatments cannot be carried out in the limits of the EU health card (e.g. planned surgeries);  Healthcare is (mostly) free for you; still at your first visit to a specialist you have to pay a fee up to 5 EUR ;  Prescribed medications are cheaper;  Dental care for adults is not free in Estonia.
