-Presentations -Communication with Parents and Students (Online Grading, , Rubrics, ect…) -Online testing, Pre- assessments(Pulliam 2005,pg29)
-Share and Gather info (Wikis,Blogs,etc…) -Projects -Info all in one place -Learn easier (Tucker 2010,Pg.38)
Teachers Students
-Distractions -If the internet crashes (lose everything) -Might not work( videos, sounds, etc…) -Problems(waste class time) -Liability
-Unreliable internet sites (Acikaln 2009,pg ) -Distracting -Sites Unsafe -Cyber bullying/Sexual Predators (Peters 2002,pg 42)
Is the Internet a good source in the class room?
-Ideas? -Block Internet sites that are not educational ( most schools are) -Make sure a teacher is with students that are using the internet at all times -Send permission slips home -Inform parents about upcoming projects where the students might need to use the internet
