 Chris-Chris is the main character he soft and shy but Shows off when his cousin Josie is there. Also acts tough when his other cousin Roger. Roger- Tough doesn’t like Chris that much, Not that Smart. Josie-She is Chris’s cousin and Roger’s sister. She doesn’t like the Ramsey’s. Dark coloured Skin and Brown Hair.  David hill was Born in Napier. He was a teacher for fourteen year till he became a full time writer. He wrote many books including The River Runs and Aim High. His favourite authors are Joy Cowely and Jack Lasenby. He know lives in New Plymouth. David Hill

 I give this book a 6 out of 10 because,.I found it boring going to the end of the book.I didn’t like how they carried things on.I liked the start of the book Rating

 He informs you that it is the year 1967( it starts the book with a new year). His family makes new year resolutions, some of Them are fulfilled. He likes hanging out with his cousin Josie, and her brother Roger doesn’t like Chris so he is mean to him till something happens to his finger. Plot-The Start

 Roger Starts being nicer to Chris so his father will get him out of school. Chris goes swimming and he can’t get to the surface but he makes it just in time. Plot-Middle

 Chris enjoys the rest of the holidays he has left and everyone else also enjoys the rest until the school is open. Plot-The End
