Who are we? CSSC Sports & Leisure is a not-for-profit membership organisation that was founded in 1921. With over 115,000 members nationwide, CSSC is the UK’s largest health and well-being provider endorsed and grant funded by the Cabinet Office. Membership is open to all civil service, public sector and military staff.

What do we do? CSSC has a comprehensive programme of sporting events and leisure activities that cater for all tastes and standards from novices to semi-professionals. Our aim is to encourage members to keep active and try something new so that they can achieve a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle with their family and friends at a fraction of the normal cost.

Volunteering with CSSC Give your time and make a difference - be proud to become a CSSC volunteer and use your skills and energy to help and inspire others. The fantastic range of sports and leisure activities that we offer our members is only made possible by our army of volunteers. Why not improve your skills, make new friends and enhance your CV whilst taking time to enjoy an activity of your choice? Mentoring, coaching and learning opportunities are available for all new and existing volunteers, and we will support you in whatever role you choose to take on.

Your Local Committee CSSC is run by being divided up into different regions and areas. Members are linked through the postcode of their workplace to an ‘Area Association’, which is made up of a committee of volunteers. The committee receives a grant to spend on local activities and events for all members in the area. Speak to your local committee to find out what’s on offer or view the website at cssc.co.uk and click on your area on the map to see details.
