Group Work You will be competing in teams of 3 or 4 today for prizes. You will have several tasks to complete. 1) Consolidate knowledge on TWSAC: 10 questions 2) Just a minute 3) Group writing

1) 10 Questions As a group devise 10 questions to ask about TWSAC that you want to explore or to check something you are not sure about. What is a thesis statement? A thesis statement is a well explained sentence that presents your argument on a particular topic. Look at the 6 ideas about thesis statements. Rank them with most relevant at the top and least relevant at the bottom.

Thesis Statement In the first stanza, Yeats uses the words “autumn and “dry” and “still sky” to represent decay and to perhaps suggest an ageing body. He is using his environment to bring about thoughts of his ageing. The idea of nature inspiring contemplation is also found in The Cold Heaven where the “grey skies” bring about his thoughts.
