MR Damper Made by LORD Model: RD Serial: Operation between 0-1 Amp current Pictures about how the damper is attached to the structure can be found under Experiment- 2.

Current Driver The current driver used in these tests do not have any brand/serial #. The current driver equation is A = V/1.70

Force Sensor and Actuator LVDT The MTS load cell and Schenck actuator LVDT is powered by MTS Flex GT Controller. An output has been sent from controller to DAQ system.

Laser Sensor Conditioner The laser sensors are powered with LK- G3001V Controller The signal has been filtered with a low-pass filter at 300 Hz.

dSpace To regulate the current level sent to MR Damper, dSpace has been used. For semi-active case voltage regulation, floor accelerations, first floor relative displacement and load cell coming from MTS controller are divided with tee-converter to Donghua and dDspace. For ADC[1-4], resolution is 16 bit. For ADC[5-8], resolution is 12 bit.
