Kids’ Home Page Noisy, busy, and colorful, the kids’ home page of Kidnetic.com is designed to keep them interested and engaged while at the same time learning about healthful eating and active living. Kidnetic.com content covers these main areas: Move, Eat, Talk, Learn, and a special section for Parents.

The Kore One of the goals of the site is to stimulate physical activity by encouraging kids to tap into their own energy. The Kore plays off kids’ inner energy and is the physical activity hub where kids can play games on or away from the computer.

Wet Head Games Wet Head Games get their name from the “wet” (sweaty) head kids should get while playing them. Kids are encouraged to print them out and go play! These games, submitted by kids for kids, provide fun ideas for activities beyond organized sports, something kids told us they needed.

Scavenger Hunt The Scavenger Hunt sends kids around the house to collect items like a picture frame or a sock while racing against the clock. Each time kids finds an item, they come back to the computer and press “Q” to move to the next item they’re supposed to find. There’s a one or two player option so kids can play alone or with a friend or family members.

Fitness Challenge The Fitness Challenge serves up 10 physical activities for kids to do while they race against the clock. Challenges include hopping on one foot, jumping jacks, touching their toes and more. Each time kids play, the activities are arranged in a different order.

Move Mixer The move mixer is a dance creation tool that allows kids to either move or choose a pre-mixed dance, select their music, and learn the dance they’ve put together right in front of their computer! They have the option to change the speed of the dance so they can follow along at their own pace, starting slow as they learn and going faster as they master the moves.

Recipe Roundup The Recipe Roundup promotes healthful eating with great kid-tested recipes that they can make themselves like Brewed Monkey Brain Stew (it’s actually chili) or Groovy Grape Ape Smoothie. There are seven categories of recipes including a Family-Friendly category with recipes for kids and adults to make together.

InnerG InnerG teaches kids how healthful eating and physical activity keeps their bodies functioning. Kids click and drag various body parts to the correct place on the skeleton and information and information pops up on the right to let them know what that body part needs in order to stay healthy. It also provides links to related “Bright Papers” on the Web site and recipes.

Bright Papers “Bright Papers” are short, educational articles about fitness, food, fun, and feelings. They help kids (and parents) make healthful choices about eating and physical activity. The Kidnetic.com Scientific Advisory Panel has reviewed each Bright Paper.

Kidnector Kidnector is a virtual messaging service that encourages communication about healthful eating and active living between kids and parents. Kids can send their own notes to their parents or use customized messages like “Did you know my favorite homemade dinner is…” Kids fill in the rest and send it on.

Parents’ Home Page Parents have their own home page on Kidnetic.com to provide them with the resources and tools they need to help their children make smart decisions about eating and exercise.

Bright Papers for Parents The Bright Paper section for parents provides lengthier informational articles to help parents in raising a healthy child. Paper topics include “Teaching Kids about Food Advertising and Marketing” and “Making Fitness a Family Affair.”

Frequently Asked Questions Parents can look through the Frequently Asked Questions for topics on healthful eating and active living. The answers are given by Kidnetic.com scientific experts.
