GSO Meeting held at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on May 8 th 2013 : Common GSO conformity certificate (Based on relevant Gulf Technical Regulations) GSO conformity certificates implementation from July 1 st GSO Member Countries : UAE, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait Manufacturer - submit Test Report in GSO format Manufacturer - submit Authentication Letter in GSO GSO visit to manufacturer For evaluation GSO will issue CoC to manufacturer online Rejected Certificate will be issued to Manufacturer with reason Comply Additional requirements for completed CoC Steps of GSO Certification Validity of GSO Conformity Certificates will be one year from the date of Approval. GSO will accept the regulations of the country of production including ECE, FMVSS and Japan applied until end of June From 1 st July 2015, GSO will accept only the country of origin regulations (JAPAN for JAMA manufacturers) including ECE & FMVSS. SIAM discussed this issue with MoC (Ministry of Commerce) to confirm the following requirements of GSO : 1.Country of Origin Equivalent Regulation : Indian Regulation shall be allowed. 2.Country of Production includes India as well. SIAM informs the details to Ministry of Commerce (MoC), Govt. of India. > MoC shall contact the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia shall arrange meeting with GSO SIAM shall discuss the matter of accepting Indian Regulation for above points Response from Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India is awaited. GSO Certification – Indian Situation 5/5 SIAM had followed up with MoC in Oct MoC informed that they would discuss this matter and inform SIAM accordingly.
