Concept of Repository  ETD repositories are becoming a major resource for information in all subjects and ETD repositories are providing institutional knowledge available online and thereby increasing it’s visibility and use. ETD are the important source for the researcher in the world. many higher education institutes are actively engaged in introducing ETD repositories at national as well as international level.

UGC Recommendations The UGC Notification (Minimum Standards & Procedure for Award of M.Phill./Ph.D. Degree, Regulation, 2009) dated 1 st June 2009 provides for submission of electronic version of theses and dissertation with an aim to facilitate open access to Indian theses and dissertations to the academic community worldwide.
