The Centre Lathe The Centre Lathe is used to maunfacture cylindrical shapes from a range of materials including steels and plastics.
That have been programed to carry out a particular task. The Lathes may be Manual Lathes (operated directly by poeple) or CNC Lathes (computer controled Lathes). That have been programed to carry out a particular task.

Parts of the Centre Lathe
The Chuck This holds the material that is going to be shaped
The Headstock This can be opened, revealing an arrangement of gears. These gears are sometimes replaced to alther the speed of rotation of the chuck.
How to control it? Gear Levers Inside the Headstock Inside the hesdsotck are the Lyra (a group of Gears), the Spindle and the Pulleys. They rotates the chuck at high speed. They are used to change the speed of rotation of the chuck.
The Tool Post & The Lathe Bed It holds the cutting tool This is the base of the machine.
The Guard & The Emergency Stop They are both to protect the person that is using the centre lathe.
