Animals in Winter Webquest Designed for students in 3rd Grade By Mandy Bishop

Let’s Begin! We live in Northern New York which gets very cold in the winter! What do you do to prepare for the cold winter? Do you: Wear warm clothes? Heat your house? Eat warm foods? Use blankets? What do animals do to prepare for the winter?

What We’ll Learn During the winter, animals do one of three things to prepare themselves: Hibernate Migrate Adapt After we study Animals in Winter we will: define Hibernation, Migration, and Adaptation make a chart about Animals in Winter write an Animals in Winter fact piece

Let’s Get to Work! Northern New York has many animals. They all have to prepare for winter.  In this Webquest we: Gather information about              -Hibernation               -Migration               -Adaptation Make a chart of what certain animals do in the winter Write a "fact-finder" writing piece about Animals in Winter Share our fact-finder writing pieces with other students
