Nature of Work *Manage the school library and media center. *Order and process new materials *Oversee the library budget *Supervising student helpers and library clerical staff *Meet with high school teachers and plan corresponding units in which students will be studying. *Maintain book collections and instruct students how to do so

Education and Training * undergraduate degree in any accredited 4 year university or college *Master’s degree program is recommended, but not mandatory, though it will make you appear more attractive to future employers My own personal path is to duel major in K-12 Education and Library Science
