Noun Definition: Person, place, thing, or idea. Jobs: Subject (SN) Object of Preposition (OP) Direct Object (DO) Indirect Object (IO) Predicate noun (PrN) Question it answers: Who or what?

Verb Definition: Expresses action or a state of being. Types: Action (V) Linking (LV) Helping (HV) Question: What is being said about the subject?

Adjective Definition: Modifies or describes a noun or pronoun. Abbreviation: Adj Questions it answers: What kind? Which one? How many?

Adverb Definition: Modifies or describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb. Abbreviation: Adv Questions it answers: How? When? Where? Why? Under what condition? To what degree?
