What is the History of Palestine?  Palestinians have been in Israel for thousands of years and they think they should have a right to stay there.  Some of their land was taken from them in 1948 after the Holocaust. The Jewish people needed a place to live.  About 93% of Palestinians are Muslim. How does Palestine feel about Israel?  Palestine and Israel HATE each other.  Many Palestines, especially the terrorist group called the Hamas, do not like the Israeli’s views on religion. They believe it should be mostly Muslim.  The thing that makes Palestinians so mad is, the Israeli’s think the land is theirs when the Palestinians were there first.  Israelis were given the land by Britain to help them after the Holocaust but they tend to think the whole place is just now theirs when Palestine is still their. Facts about Palestine

Who are the current leaders of Palestine?  Mahmoud Abbas is currently the Leader of Palestine after he took the job from Yasser Arafat after he died in Do Palestinians present a practical argument for political independence?  They have a very good argument.  They can say, we were here first before the Israelis, we were pushed off our lands to make room for these people, and we think we should be able to have political independence. What legal rights to Palestinians have in Israel today?  The law states, "Arab Israelis are citizens of Israel with equal rights“. It also says "The only legal distinction between Arab and Jewish citizens is not one of rights, but rather of civic duty. What Palestinian obstacles are standing in the way of a peace settlement?  They just all need to stop bombing each other and sit down and talk. Even though they hate each other that much, they just need to make a peace settlement so all of this violence stops. Facts about Palestine

Israel Israel’s relations with U.S.: Israel is considered a major ally of the United States in the region, receiving American aid since its creation in Early American support for Israel was sparked by the need for a Jewish state in the aftermath of WW2and the Holocaust. Today, the country receives around 5$3 billion per year in economic and military support from the United States. Israeli Palestine relations: they obviously hate each other and Israeli’s have mistreated the Palestine’s well they fight all the time and with the new murdering in the Gaza Strip you can tell they mistreat them. Terrorism Expert What is terrorism? Do both sides practice it? How/when/who? Terrorism is the use of violence and threats to intimidate; usually for political reasons. Both Palestine and Israel use terrorism. They come up with certain ways to harm or kill each other and they do it when people will least expect it, or when they are helpless against it. What are major terrorist groups in the region? Hamas- Palestinian Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades- Palestinian Massod- Israeli

Terrorism Expert What has been/should be done to stop terrorism is Israel/Palestine? On November 7, 2007 at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland there was a peace conference between Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas and President George Bush to commit to a 2008 peace treaty. On September 13, 1993 there was a peace treaty between Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO Chairman Yassar Arafat with Bill Clinton. What are the goals of the terrorist groups? The terrorists groups goals are to get what they believe belongs to them and prove a point that they are right and they will do anything to prove it and get what they want. What terrorist obstacles are standing in the way of a peace settlement? The terrorists groups not wanting to stop what they are doing, they just want to keep fighting till they get what they want. They think harming or killing each other is the only way to resolve the problem.

Peace Plan Our Peace Plan is to split the land up equally and anyone that has to relocate, they will be given money for new homes. Anyone that had a job before and had to relocate will be given a job once they move.
