W HAT IS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN A VERB ENDING AND THE SUBJECT OF A VERB ? H OW CAN I LEARN 1 ST CONJUGATION VERBS ? We will learn: 1. What is a person? 2. What are the Latin Pronouns? 3. What are the personal verb endings?

W HAT IS A PERSON ? “reference of a segment of discourse to the speaker, to one spoken to, or to one spoken of as indicated by means of certain pronouns or in many languages by verb inflection” Merriam Webster The perspective; who is performing the action In Latin, this information is implied by the ending of the verb. It is not necessary to state the pronoun of the person as it is in English. For example. I work – laboro or ego laboro.
