Short Story Presentation April grades Unit Test to follow (also 3 grades)

Presentation Requirements You must plan an activity that helps the class review the content of the story. You must use a passage from the story to illustrate a literary term used by the author in the story, or to highlight a writing technique he or she uses. You must lead the class in a discussion of theme in the story and decide if that theme is relevant to you and your classmates.

Grade Rubric 3 Areas of Evaluation 1.Performance: You will graded on how you speak – voice, posture, evidence of practice and preparation, inflection, eye contact 2.Content: You will be graded on what you give to the class in terms of information – all requirements met, accuracy, interest generated, depth of scholarship 3.Written material: the class must be given written material that is a supplement to your activity – mechanics, creativity, scope, efficacy

Rubric continued There are 5 performance criteria: 5/5=A, 4/5=B, 3/5=C, 2/5=D, 1 or 0/5=Wow! There are 4 content criteria: 4/4=A, 3/4=B, 2/4=C, 1/4=D. If you do a presentation you will pass the content area. Mechanics has 4 criteria so it’s the same as the content rubric. So, 3 separate grades will be recorded in Powerschool.
