Codes and Sample Queries from ACRL IL Matrix Assignment Tracking Tool 1 January 2012 | Modified April 2013 Dr. Jean Collins

Artifact: These slides represent only a few of the many data sets that can be queried from a relational database. The matrix was created, coded, and all data was entered by me. From this database I am able to run a query from any of the IL Standards, individually or as a set, as well as from many of the other variables. All variables can be filtered to be included as desired. This artifact was created by me to track the connection between the ACRL IL Standards to the assignments for Technology & Society, the course I used for my dissertation study. The matrix is a tracking tool only and was not the instrument used for the study. The assignments themselves were entered into a separate database from which I could link the tables using a primary key. From this relationship I was able to provide timely information in support of where and how I integrated IL into the course. Assignment details are the property of the College. However, the full matrix in the Microsoft Access database can be viewed from the pdf link available from the web page. You must have the Microsoft Access Office Suite available on your computer to open the database. This database is copyright protected by Dr. Jean Collins and may be viewed but not used for any purpose. If you desire additional information, however, or would like to modify or adapt the design for educational purposes, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to accommodate you.! 2
