 Define Define  Identify Identify  Define & Discuss Define & Discuss  Discuss Discuss  Distinguish Distinguish These marketing activities are all based on verbs that are found in several of the objectives in courses for Marketing & Business Education Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

BeachBall Review Taboo Draw Something BINGO Hollywood Squares Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

Looking for a great way to quiz students on what they have learned? The Beach Ball review can be used as a way to review material with students: Right before the test The day before the test At the end of a unit To introduce a unit How To: Place numbers (1-60) all over the beach ball. Set your own “class rules” for how the beach ball can be handled, in the room. Play music or set a time limit. Whoever has the ball when it is time to STOP, should call out a number that one of their fingers is on. Read the corresponding question (from a test, quiz, activity, etc.) Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

Have students “battle it out” to review course concepts and vocabulary!! Taboo is a family-fun game, that can now be used in the classroom! Supplies Needed: Index CardsStaplerPrinter/PaperTimer How To: Type several “words” that come from any unit of your choosing. Below each word, type 3 words that students can not use, in order to “clue” their team in on the vocabulary term. Print off the words and staple them to the index card. This prevents students from being able to read through the sheet of paper. Goal: To have your team to the word on the card, without using the word itself or 3 “clue” words; within the 30second time limit, each round! Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

More than just a game on your Apple product! Draw-Something is an entertaining way to have students depict concepts learned from your course! How To: Allow students to pick from concepts/vocabulary; these should be words that students can actually “draw” Once a student selects a word, they should draw image(s) that assist them with explaining the word to their partner/team. Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

Great way to review vocabulary Supplies Needed: Vocabulary- Projector/OnBoardBingo Cards/Bingo on PaperHighlighters/Markers How To: Show vocabulary words to students Have students write down vocabulary words that they feel most comfortable with on the “B.I.G.O.” columns, and words they are unsure of on the “N” column. Read the definition of the word & have students mark out with a highlighter/marker as they get the words correct. Proceed until someone get’s “BINGO!” Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

Take the traditional game of Tic-Tac-Toe to a new level! Have students play Hollywood Squares to review: Essential Questions from the week Objectives from the previous day Definitions, etc. How To: Have students get into groups “X’s” and “O’s” Students play the game, like a traditional version of Tic-Tac-Toe Students must answer the questions in order to score points of the board. If the group gets the question right, then their mark “X” or “O” goes into the box. If they get it wrong, then the other team gets to score. Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

Wheel of Fortune Survivor Are you smarter than a 5 th grader? Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

Puzzle Pieces Cut up various cereal boxes into pieces (4-7) Hand out random pieces to students Have students to locate classmates with similar pieces Deck-Of-Cards Sort students into groups by giving each of them a card Students can be grouped by: Numbers Colors Suites Download these tools for success: CTE13.weebly.com

Candy Intro. Have students pick anywhere between 3-20 of the candy of your choice: Works best with M&M’s & Skittles Students then introduce themselves and give 1-fact per piece of candy. 1-Minute Interview Have students pair-off. Students will introduce themselves by speaking for 1 minute; the other person will practice listening for 1 minute. Note: Students must speak for the entire 1 minute. 1 st Impression This activity works best when students will be working or seated in the same groups for longer than 2 weeks. Students are to place a blank sheet of paper on their backs. Each student will introduce themselves to someone new. After their introduction, their classmate(s) will write down adjectives on their blank sheet of paper. Follow-Up: Students can reflect at the end on what their classmates think of them before & after. Group Yourselves Instruct students to group themselves. Note how students group, without instructions. Have students group themselves based on different factors.
