IT in Asia By Ti Mohammed Bing

VIETNAMESE TECHNOLOGY

WHAT’S 3G SYSTEM 3G is the third generation of telecommunication hardware standards and general technology for mobile networking, superseding 2.5G. It is based on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) family of standards under the IMT-2000.[1] 3G networks enable network operators to offer users a wider range of more advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency. Services include wide-area wireless voice telephony, video calls, and broadband wireless data, all in a mobile environment. Unlike IEEE 802.11 networks, which are commonly called Wi-Fi or WLAN networks, 3G networks are wide-area cellular telephone networks that evolved to incorporate high-speed Internet access and video telephony.

WHO'S OWNER THE 3G SYSTEM IN VIETNAM The Vietnamese telecommunications department has awarded the first four licences to companies wanting to offer high-speed 3G services. Military-run Viettel, Vinaphone and MobiFone, both run by telecommunication group VNPT, and a consortium between EVN Telecom and Hanoi Telecom won the licences, the Vietnam Net site. The four companies have three months to develop 3G mobile services under the fifteen-year licences.

IPHONE 3G UNLOCKED IN VIETNAM The guy who named Tuan Anh, unlocked the Iphone 3G by making changes to the phone's international circuit According to him, chipsets on the phone’s mainboard can be adjusted to rub out its connection to the AT&T network. The unlocked iPhone 3G was tested with GSM-based networks in Vietnam like VinaPhone, MobiFone and Viettel. Tuan Anh said MobiFone is the best for this 3G phone. This method allows iPhone 3G users to change SIM freely and there is a greater success rate with the unlocking method than with using false SIM.
