Definition Essay (handout) Objective: To jigsaw readings of multiple definition essays and recognize the essential elements of an effective definition essay through the use of a graphic organizer and group discussions

Definition Essay Assessment Read the assignment for the definition essay Annotate the assignment for important requirements and ask two questions you may have? – Even if you think you know the answer, write two questions.

Proposal Write a proposal for your definition essay Make sure to answer all the questions addressed in the proposal section of the assessment – You may use bullets – You may just write 1-2 sentences for each bullet
