The Material Management System is a secure, web-based tool offered exclusively to clients of Nova Environmental, Inc. What is the M.M.S.?

How do I access my data? All of your data is available to you via the internet. Open your web browser and go to

The Nova Environmental home page should display in your browser window.

Click on the M.M.S. button

Next, click on the “Login” button

Review the Terms and Conditions

Scroll down and click “Yes” to agree to the Terms and Conditions

Enter the user name and password given to you by Nova Environmental, then click “Submit”

You will then be connected to your secure data on our web server. For the purpose of this demo, we will be reviewing demonstration data collected from an imaginary school, ABC Elementary School.

Your custom data page will include the following items: 1. A design consistent with the design of Nova Environmental’s website 3. A hyperlink to your report data. 2. A photograph of your property

Click on the hyperlink containing your data

Click the “Open” button

then click the “Enable Macros” button

3. All screens contain legends on the right side. 5. Individual room reports can be seen by clicking on the room number on the floor plan. 2. All your data can be accessed from the tabs at the bottom of the screen 4. They contain a hyperlink to a report with all the data on the floor that you are currently viewing. 1. You will see a screen similar to this one.

Note that there are white and yellow colored rooms on the floor plan. A room that is shaded yellow means that it contains known or assumed asbestos containing material. A room that is white means that it contains no known or assumed asbestos containing material.

To see the room’s data, click on the room number. Let’s click on room 104. Let’s look at some data

A report will open that shows all the test data from room number 104. Note that there is bold and standard text in the report. The bold text indicates there is known or assumed asbestos containing material in the room. The standard text indicates no known or assumed asbestos containing material.

To view another report, click on the tab at the bottom of the screen. We’ll click on the First Floor Diagram tab to return to the first floor of the school.

This time, let’s look at room number 105. Let’s take a look at a different room.

Notice this time that all the data is standard text. That is because there is no known or assumed asbestos containing material in this room.

You can easily run a report for all the data on the floor by clicking on the box on the right side of the screen.

All the data for that particular floor will then be displayed. Materials are always listed in the same order: Asbestos “Positive” will be listed first and will be bold

Asbestos “Assumed” will be listed next and will also be bold text.

Asbestos “Negative” will be listed last and will be standard text.

The data in this column will change as your site remediation takes place. When asbestos containing material has been removed the status will change to negative. Let’s scroll back to the top of the screen. Notice the column header that is titled “status”? The yellow colored rooms on the floor plan will also change to white.

To see all the data for the entire building, click on the “ABC Elementary School” tab

All the data for all the floors of the school will be displayed, “asbestos positive” first, “asbestos assumed” second and “asbestos negative” last.

To view other floors of the school, click on the arrows to display the other floor tabs. Then click on the tab for the floor you would like to see.

We clicked on the “Second Floor Diagram” tab this time, so the second floor of the school is now displayed. Next, just click on the room number or the green box for the next report data to be displayed. It’s that simple!
