REASONS FOR ALTERNATIVE WORK SCHEDULES dropping children and elderly off at daycare picking children up at school Assisting with the needs of the elderly Employees furthering their education Employee would like to spend more time with their family. beat the rush hour traffic.

REVIEW Flextime Norman work times are 9 am to 5 pm, or 8 am to 5 pm per week. These have been the norm for many years. Traditional companies are not use to flextime and therefore they will have to be sold on the idea. Not all companies are able to allow flextime, but those who do will usually see fewer turnovers, It helps the employee by beating rush hour, carrying children to school.

REVIEW CONT. Compressed Work Weeks -Four 10 hour days -Three 12 hour day -Five 9 hour days followed by a week of four 9 hour days. Compare and Contrast If the company approves your work schedule, it is always based on coverage and convenience for the company. Flextime time usually works everyday. Compressed is usually a short work week.

REVIEW CONT. Carpenters have a saying, “Measure twice. Cut once.” This is certainly true with shift schedules, and especially the shift length. Employees are frequently hesitant to go to schedules with longer shifts, but once they get there, they rarely look back. Shiftwork Solutions can help you find the right shift length and the best schedule for your operations. length/?gclid=COuuzIil8LMCFQf0nAoddSYAgA length/?gclid=COuuzIil8LMCFQf0nAoddSYAgA
