Copyright 2006 – Biz/ed The Choice of Transport Routes The choice of transport routes to and from popular tourism destinations has increased in recent years: Air travel has come within the reach of many consumers. The mass market for discount airline fares and the expansion of regional airports in the UK and wider Europe demonstrates this development.

Copyright 2006 – Biz/ed The Choice of Transport Routes Major construction projects have seen improvements to the transport infrastructure. Many examples of these developments exist.

Copyright 2006 – Biz/ed The Choice of Transport Routes Economic and political developments have resulted in new tourism markets emerging. The expansion of the European Union (EU) and the appearance of an affluent middle class in China have both contributed to this growth.
