David was king of Israel. In 2 Samuel 6, David resolved to bring the ark of the Lord to Jerusalem. Israel under the direction of Hophni and Phinehas, the sons of Eli, lost the ark to the Philistines. (1 Samuel 4) The Philistines returned the ark to Israel (1 Samuel 6) The ark is placed in the home of Abinadab (1 Samuel 7) Abinadab’s house rested upon a hill. (2 Samuel 6:3) David decided to transport the ark on a new ox cart. (2 Samuel 6:3) David was king of Israel. In 2 Samuel 6, David resolved to bring the ark of the Lord to Jerusalem. (2 Samuel 6:7) The Bible describes Uzzah’s actions as irreverent or error. David’s reactions: Emotion #1: anger against the Lord. (2 Samuel 6:8) Emotion #2: fear of the Lord. DAVID RESOLVED TO PRAISE GOD.
