“Innovative green technology for smart energy saving on existing residential buildings with centralized heating/cooling generators”

Introducing the project  FP7 grant in collaboration with Ingenia, Polito, INRIM (ITA), K2N (UK), Cleopa (GER), Betronic (HOL), Tesco SW and UPOL (CZE).  Aims to develop a smart thermoregulatory system for optimizing the heat/cooling energy consumption.  Project is to perform smart and accurate cost allocation to be applied in already existing (old) buildings with centralized heating/cooling system.  Preserving a heating/cooling cost allocation really based on the user/flat thermal energy demand.

Project objectives  R&D of a new and smart methodology to implement a heating/cooling cost allocation for each flat owner of a building.  Developement of an innovative zero-impact distributed system able to measure, control and optimize the energy consumption for heating/cooling.  Providing the user with other intelligent feedbacks such as direct and concrete suggestions on heating system settings to increase savings in the energy costs and consumptions.  Performing automatic heating settings taking into consideration building structural characteristics, external environment conditions and time of location.
