Presentation transcript:

A Lynx habitat is in forested areas, tundra's, swamp areas, and rocky areas. They live in Canada, North America, and Europe.

A Canada Lynx is a carnivore. Their diet is a snowshoe hare, but sometimes other small rodents like mice. They may even eat birds and fish.

A Canada Lynx has sharp teeth to catch prey. They also have big feet so they can walk on ice and not fall through. Their long ears have a keen sense of hearing and enable the Lynx to hear predators and prey alike from a long distance.

They are nocturnal because they want to stay away from predators.

What if a Canada Lynx lost its big feet. It would fall through ice. What if it lost its eye sight. They wouldn’t be able to see mice from far away. What if

Their legs can hold twice their body weight. Its eyesight is so strong it could spot a mouse 250 feet away. A Lynx has long, strong back legs that make the Lynx really good at jumping. In the Lynx’s eyes the black strip lets the light in at night. A lynx can get pounds.
