Santa Ynez Chumash Environmental Office (SYCEO) Mission Statement: “To enhance and preserve the natural environment of the Chumash Reservation in order to provide a safe and healthy community for its residents and visitors.” WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) Goals To learn about and discuss all the issues taking place on the Reservation that affect the natural environment and human health/safety. Why do we need an EAC? To establish a healthy and sustainable environment. Helps us to serve you better. Ensures that we are meeting your (the Tribe’s) goals. Proven to get results. Easy and fun!

What we need from you (the EAC). The ABCs of the EAC A ttend quarterly meetings. B e a steward of the environment. C ommunicate concerns of the Tribal Community to us. S hare what you learn with the Tribal Community.

What to expect from us (your SYCEO). Listen and understand your environmental concerns. Represent the Tribe’s best interests. Share our knowledge with you. Inform you of our progress and accomplishments.
