Myscouting.org: Cub Leaders can complete all required training (BSA’s online virtual classroom). Monthly Round Tables: A monthly meeting where scouting leaders from all over the council gather to share ideas to better Cub Scouting. University of Scouting: A one-day training November 1st that covers basic and supplemental training for Scout volunteers. Special Sessions: There are many other training options throughout the year to help get you up to speed with programs, adult interactions, unit progress, and fundraising

Online Training Opportunities Fast Start: catered to specific roles in the Pack. Learn specific responsibilities, how to keep meetings fun and exciting, and what other resources there are to help you in planning for you den or pack meetings This is Scouting: an overview of the Scouting organization including history, values, programs, Youth Protection, community involvement, and training. Leader Specific: tools to complete a specific job in a unit. Anyone in a new role will benefit. Youth Protection: required for all adults. This focuses on maintaining safety of Scouting and to minimize liabilities of adult leadership. FAST TRACKS: a series of Den Meeting plans—2 per month– designed to be used with the youth handbooks. If followed, the boys will earn their rank in Early Spring.

The costs of Scouting Registration: annual fee collected by the Boy Scouts of America ($24/year) Pack Dues: some Packs charge additionally for specific expenses Uniform Parts: each Pack has a specific uniform requirement Cub Scout events: most Council, District, and Pack events have a fee to cover costs. Gateway Area Council events are led by seasoned volunteers and are kept at as low of a cost as possible. Fundraising opportunities are available

Annual Registration Fees Registration: annual fee collected by the Boy Scouts of America Boys’ Life: magazine of the Boy Scouts with stories and features relating to young men Insurance: every Scout is insured when participating in Pack and Council events.
