 Read Ch 14 ; prepare for Quiz on Ch14 & 16  Download, Complete, and Print your answers for the Persuasive Speech Preparation Worksheet *Your topic should address a question of Policy.*  Complete Exercises #1 and #2 on page 220 (Type and Print) Homework

 Be Seated and Be Ready when your name is called.  Turn in your Speaking Outline before you begin your speech: 10% of your grade  Make sure your Speech is under 4:15; after 4:15 you start loosing points. (3:45- 4:15 is safe) Informative Speeches

1.Stand up and push your chairs into the desk. 2.Find a place facing the wall. 3.When I tell you, begin your speech. I will say “Start.” 4.Stop when I tell you. I will say “Stop.” Warm-up Practice

Speech Format 1. When I call your name you will give me a copy of your speech outline and go to the front of the classroom and wait for me to tell you to start. 2. I will say “Camera” to start recording. 3. I will tell you to “Start” and I will start the timer. 4. Make sure your Speech is under 4:15; after 4:15 you start loosing points. (3:45-4:15 is safe) 5. Absolutely no talking when someone is giving their speech!
