Decentralised portable containerised plant for the production of biodiesel in Nemsdorf-Göhrendorf

Decentralised portable containerised plant for the production of biodiesel in Nemsdorf-Göhrendorf Agitated vessel PLC Mixing vessel

Decentralised portable containerised plant for the production of biodiesel in Nemsdorf-Göhrendorf The process  Pure batch process, batch-type re-esterification (8 h)  All process steps in succession in a single vessel.  A heatable agitated vessel is the core item of the plant.  Continuous process control through data logging.  Ensures reproducible process.  Plant trouble is detected at any rate.  Process is automatically interrupted.

Staff cost:  Only for management of raw and materials and auxiliaries. Energy consumption:  During 60% of the time no operation of any plant component (settling processes). Maintenance: Only one single vessel  less pumping / reduced no. of valve operation processes  low maintenance cost. Investment cost: Low space requirements through container solution offered  no expensive structural investment cost. Side products: No waste  No expensive disposal.  Raw glycerine and wash water as co-substrate in biogas plant.  complete energetic use of bio raw materials fed.

Investment planning and implementation Implementation completed in only six months Documents prepared and application filed to BImSchG (German Federal Immission Control Act) Secured funding (public funding, credits) Engineered plant; obtained bids and selected bidders; signed contracts 4 March 2004 Start of construction on site 23 March 2004 Tanks placed at site 20 April 2004 Erected the completely installed production container Connected peripheral utility piping 3 May 2004 Commissioned the plant (Trial operation, improvement)

The decentral re-esterification Producing your own biodiesel - Small-scale plant for the agriculture  The owner/operator is also the producer of raw materials.  Own farming of rapeseeds as regenerative raw material.  Local pressing and storage of rapeseed oil.  Use of presscake in own farm operations.  Use of biodiesel in vehicles of own farm and marketing locally and in the vicinity.  Use of glycerine and wash water as co-substrate in own or nearby biogas plant. -

The decentral re-esterification Producing your own biodiesel - Small-scale plant for the agriculture  Established closed cycles.  Shortens transport chains.  Creates jobs in rural areas.  Ensures that value is created locally.  Creates additional sources of income in agriculture.  Makes the producer more independent of the market.
