Cardboard By: Brennan Mattingly

Who invented cardboard?  Robert Gair invented cardboard in  Later on Kellogg company started using cardboard boxes to put their cereal in.

What is it?  A material similar to thick, stiff paper, that is made of pressed paper pulp or pasted sheets of paper.

What is it made of?  It is made out of a material made of paper pulp, but thicker and stiffer than paper.

What it’s used for.  The main use for cardboard is to box things up and put them in storage.

The cardboard box  It helps you organize your stuff and makes less clutter.

Can it be recycled  Cardboard can be recycled along with paper and is remade into many different kinds of paper products.

Why recycle cardboard?   When cardboard breaks down in landfill it creates methane, a major greenhouse gas with the global warming capacity 21 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.

Modern day uses for cardboard boxes
