CoroCAM 6D Solar Blind Filter (SBF) Removable Option

The “solar blind” filter in the camera blocks the light (solar spectrum) from the sun, allowing the camera to work in daytime. Part of the corona spectrum overlaps with the solar spectrum and is blocked by the “solar blind filter” In night/indoor conditions it is beneficial to remove the solar blind filter and allow the blocked part of the corona spectrum to also reach the detector. The extra energy in this part of the spectrum increases the observed energy from a discharge by 3 times. The CoroCAM 504 features a (patented) motorized filter removal system. The CoroCAM 6D can be fitted with a menu selected motorized filter removal system – becoming the CoroCAM 6D NV variant.
